What 3 Questions Does He Ask His Daughter Every Day?

Charles Poliquin: The Fruits of a Disciplined Life

Tim Ferriss,  author of 4-Hour Workweek and 4 Hour Body, recently interviewed Charles Poliquin, a world renown strength coach.

C Poliquin

The 2 plus hour interview contains many nuggets of wisdom.

Charles Poliquin shares three questions he asks his daughter every day, listed in reverse order:

1. “What have you learned today?” This is a tremendous training ground for a son, daughter, or just about anyone – learn something new every day and share it with someone to pass on and integrate the knowledge.

2. “What has someone done to help you out?” Isn’t this great? Think of a person and attach the act of goodness they extended to you.

Many have developed the habit of keeping a gratitude journal – listing one to three specific items for which they are thankful.

The principle is the same – thankfulness. Gratitude reminds us that we are human and keeps us humble.

3. “What have you done today to help someone?” In other words, what have you given?  Mr. Poliquin further states that he donates 10% to different causes … “If you want to be successful, you have to give away what you want.”

What would our world be if everyone made it a point to give every day – money; a helping hand; or words of encouragement.

Have a listen. It is worth the time investment.

Thank you Mr. Ferriss for this educational interview. Thank you Mr. Poliquin for sharing.
